The Superiority of Induction Cooking
Cooking is, technically, the application of heat to food in order to make it more edible. Technology certainly has always constructed ways that make life easier- even activities as natural as cooking. Among one of these ingenious innovations that could benefit many homemakers is the invention of induction cooking.
Text area: Under The Counter Microwave
In usual methods of cooking, the cooking appliance provides the heat which is then conducted to the container which holds the food. Heat is indirectly applied to the food in this manner.
However, induction cooking presents an innovation wherein the container itself is the heating vessel. The food will be contained in something that produces its own heat and the food is therefore stimulated directly.
Heat is produced through coils that generate electromagnetic heat which is then transferred to another material which is magnetic. This technology then requires your cooking vessel to be made of a “ferrous” metal (like iron for example, because it can sustain a magnetic field). When this electromagnetic energy is transferred to the magnetic material, this then generates the heat which cooks the food directly being contained by the vessel.
By managing the force of the magnetic field, the amount of heat that can be “transferred” into and produced by the vessel containing the food to be cooked, can be managed as well. The best thing about induction cooking is that because of the nature of its heat-generating and transferring process, it is much easier to manipulate and the heat being used to cook can be instantly, easily, and accurately controlled according to one’s cooking needs.
There is also no energy wasted through induction cooking because heat is directly applied to the food in the vessel. Compared to those that still use gas stoves with processes that take far longer because the heat is applied indirectly, induction cooking prevents the wasting of all this extra energy.
It is also safer to use because aside from the vessel which, because of the nature of the material that it is made of, is the only material to react with the electromagnetic induction heater, the rest of the apparatus is cold when touched with the hand or finger. Therefore there is no need to worry about the risk for burns. It is also a noiseless procedure and there is no need for worrying about gas leaks or smells when cooking.
Clearly, induction cooking is one of the most if not, the most superior method of cooking that is available in the market today, and the prices varies from $116.99 to $599.99 (at the time this article was written).
Whatever your choice, it is good to be aware that induction cooking is indeed one of the best methods of cooking available today; and what you are willing to pay for, can let you have this superiority in quality- something which makes such an expense more than instantly gratifying, and certainly worth it.

Is a crock pot a form of induction cooking? I love using the crock pot because you can just set it and go, then by the end of the day you have a great meal waiting on you. If a crock pot isn’t induction cooking then what is it called? I love to cook and if this is the best way to do it, then I am going to have to research this some more.
I think I really like this product (Max Burton 6015 Portable Induction Cook top Stove and Interface Disk Combination Set). What I like most is its futuristic look. I want to decorate my home with as much contemporary and post modern fixtures and this would make a really good addition to the kitchen area. Besides that, I could even use it outdoors in a survival situation where I have an power source. And it is moderately priced.
Your article explained really well what induction cooking really is, I think that is something a lot of people do not understand and you helped a lot. I love to cook and if this is the best way to do it, then I am going to have to research this some more. Why do they say induction cooking is the healthiest? I noticed that Atkins uses Induction cooking in their diet.
From what I understand this is healthy enough that the bigger more popular diets like Atkins and South Beach use this to prepare a lot of the prepared foods that they sell. If it’s that healthy for you than I guess I’ll have to look into it for the way I cook at home because I’m trying to get my family to eat healthier and the more I can change without them realizing the better.
I have heard that induction cooking is becoming very popular because of it’s healthy advantages and how it cooks the grease away from the meat leaving it moist and with better nutrients. As a matter of fact isn’t a lot of the already prepared, prepackaged foods that the Atkins diet sells cooked with induction cooking? The South Beach Diet may be the same way and I am pretty sure Nutri Systems is.
I have heard about this and it sounds like a great way to cook but doesn’t it take longer to get it done? Isn’t there also induction heating for homes or is that called something else, where they putting hot water tubes in the floor and your house is heated from the for up. Am I thinking of something else? Maybe it is just called radiant heat but it sounds somewhat the same doesn’t it?
